Called a “new breed of grand tourer” by its manufacturer, the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish is set to roar into the L.A. Auto Show next week.

When it arrives, the car will have completed its “Americas’ preview tour” which saw the car travel through a list of destinations in the U.S. and Canada.

“In conjunction with our dealer partner Galpin Aston Martin, the Los Angeles Auto Show is our final stop of 2012 before first deliveries to the region commence in the new year.”

Using a 6.0-liter V8, the 2014 Vanquish makes 565 hp — a 45-hp increase over the outgoing model. That power increase will be further augmented by the flagship car’s new carbon fiber body all of which will reach customers during the first quarter of 2013.

The carbon fiber body promises to offer significant weight savings over the old car — and it had better considering the $279,995 price tag it carries in the U.S.
