Jaguar is kicking the cat out the door, announcing that it invited three outside drivers to test F-Type sports car.

This is the first time Jaguar tested its two-seat roadster outside the company’s internal development program.

“The entire F-TYPE development programme has, from a vehicle development perspective, been focused on delivering a connected sports car driving experience. To witness three respected drivers take to the track and to hear their positive comments validate our work has been great,” Jaguar engineer Mike Cross said.

Those three drivers are Martin Brundle, Christian Danner and Justin Bell.

Despite the fact that Jaguar brought camouflaged versions of its F-Type S and F-Type V8 S for testing, the brand says they are fully representative of production intent from a powertrain perspective.

When the car reaches showrooms next May, Jaguar will offer the car in three configurations. First, there’s a 335-hp V6 base model. At the mid level, the V6S makes 375 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque, while the V8S offers 488 hp and460 lb-ft of torque to top off the range.

This whole story is about a bunch of crap that doesn't matter. What, so now we're going to hear about it after every time some tom dick and harry show up to drive the car? These jerks didn't even review it.
