It was only a matter of time before Chrysler’s new Challenger SRT ended up on the race track.

A pair of SRT Dodge Challengers are entering the Trans Am TA2 class thanks to Miller Racing, and will make their debut at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on August 15-16.

SRT and Miller have teamed up to run the cars for the balance of this season, one of which will be piloted by former Trans Am champion Tommy Kendall. The race at Mid-Ohio marks Kendall’s return to Trans Am racing after being absent since 2004. The other Challenger will have current TA2 points leader Cameron Lawrence behind the wheel.
