Cadillac will launch an all-new ad campaign geared to publicly relaunch the brand this weekend.

Over the last couple of years, the American luxury automaker has unveiled new model after new model as it strives to better compete with its German luxury competitors. It will take the next step during the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday. The company has three new commercials scheduled to air during the event, one of which doesn’t even show any of its vehicles. That ad, which you can watch here is set to President Theodore Roosevelt’s “Citizenship in a Republic” speech and will promote the hashtag, #DareGreatly.

Filmed in New York City, where Cadillac’s new headquarters will be, the ad is a strong and moving one fitting right in with the artistry of the movies being celebrated this weekend. The new campaign is part of the company’s plan to invest $12 billion and add eight new vehicles to the lineup by 2020. The new Cadillac ATS-V made its debut earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show and the flagship CT6 will debut at the New York Auto Show in April.

At the 45 second mark; you can clearly see an old Dually. Yeah a dually being driven for whatever reason: pleasure or commuting or for grocery shopping. Must be the most rural place in USA. Uh huh :)

It was probably one of the crew member's vehicles and they just left it there because they couldn't parallel park it!

Kind of a pointless ad, in my opinion. You can see Escape and Camry taxis, a Jeep, Honda Fit and myriad other competing vehicles. How is this a commercial for Cadillac? Da fuq were they thinking?
