The newest Lotus has been spotted testing at the world famous Nurburgring.

With a curb weight of less than 2,000 lbs paired with a 450-hp supercharged 3.5-liter V6, the 3-Eleven is a race track focused machine. The video shows the car shooting out of the Ring’s corners and gives us a chance to hear its tantalizing exhaust note.

It will be offered in both road and race trims, with the road car coming with a six-speed manual while the track-focused model will come with a 6-speed sequential gearbox that uses paddle shifters.

Power makes it to the ground using 225/40 ZR18 front and 275/35 ZR19 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Race versions will make use of Michelin Cup 2 tires.

“This new car is a giant slayer, capable of embarrassing far more expensive rivals,” said Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales speaking at the car’s unveiling.
