Lamborghini Centenario Roadster Video, First Look
Lamborghini continued its tradition of dropping the top at the 2016 Monterey Car Week.
After introducing the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster at last year’s event, the Italian automaker brought out the Centenario Roadster for this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The Centenario was developed as a tribute to what would have been its founder’s 100th birthday, and now a convertible variant has debuted with an exclusive paint finish called “Argento Centenario.” According to Lamborghini, the designers had to dissolve the metal while diluting and diminishing the metal grain to give it a flatter, smoother appearance.

To accommodate an open top, Lamborghini reshaped the windshield to reduce wind buffeting, while advanced aerodynamic studies were done to achieve maximum comfort for the interior. Essentially the front windscreen has been shaped to reduce turbulence for the cabin passengers, deflecting the air around and above their heads.
And like the coupe, the Centenario Roadster features the most powerful engine Lamborghini has ever produced, a 759-horsepower naturally-aspirated V12. Only 20 Lamborghini Centenario Roadsters will be produced and they’re already all sold out.

Pricey roadsters are designed to rein in the bogeys of wind noise and turbulence. But the less pricey ones can get noisy unless a good wind deflector like the TopDown wind deflector is mounted. I have one affixed on my ride and now I can enjoy al fresco drives even on highways.
