Here's What Would Happen If Lamborghini Made Tanks

Lamborghini styling is unmistakable, but what if it inspired the design of a supertank?

The Ripsaw EV2 luxury supertank was dreamed up by a pair of brothers from Maine, Mike and Geoffrey Howe, of Howe and Howe Technologies for the U.S military. Because of its provenance, the EV2 is literally the ultimate conveyance for crossing the toughest terrain in complete comfort.

The Ripsaw is the fastest and most agile dual tracked vehicle ever developed, serving as an unmanned light tank, deployed ahead of convoys, or sent on surveillance missions in place of human soldiers.

The Ripsaw retains its speed courtesy of a 600-horsepower Duramax turbo-diesel engine, which will propel it to a top speed of 75 mph — in a tank! Giving the Ripsaw its agility is a Lamborghini-esque chassis fabricated from aerospace-grade aluminum and high-strength steel, which joins 13.4 inches of suspension travel and 21.5 inches of ground clearance.

Continuing with the Lamborghini theme, ingress into the two-person, air-conditioned interior happens through a pair of automatic gullwing doors. Occupants are treated to eight-way leather racing buckets, a reverse camera, GPS navigation, a DVD player and a reflective windshield.

The Ripsaw will absolutely not be allowed on public roads and will be limited to private property and off-road parks. No permit is required for operation, but the manufacturer does specify all owners must attend a one-day driving course before taking delivery.

If you want one of the handcrafted supertanks, it will set you back at least $295,000 before getting into the luxury or performance packages. Each one takes up to six months to complete, so order now and it should arrive in time for next summer.
