Infiniti could soon be taking its product offensive upmarket, teasing a future product with a slightly more premium look.

Dubbed the Infiniti QX80 Monograph, the teaser provides very little outside of room for speculation. The image shows part of what appears to be a full-size SUV, something that’s supported by the QX80 portion of its name. But it’s the Monograph part of the name that’s still shrouded in mystery.

What little information that can be gleaned from the teaser image shows that the QX80 Monograph shares a similar, albeit far more opposing, look with the QX50 Concept unveiled in Detroit earlier this year. Expect it to have the same muscular design outside as well as an equally opulent interior as the QX50 Concept.

Could this be part of a larger plan for Infiniti to launch a special sub-brand? We’ll have to wait until April 11 in New York to find out.

Dan, please explain how Infiniti's 12 year product cycles on SUVs and a return to rebadged vehicles like the GLA and Armada are a "product offensive".
