Hyundai Previews Stylish Elantra Sport Concept for Vegas
Hyundai is once again teaming up with Blood Type Racing for a SEMA project.
Set to make its debut later this month in Las Vegas is the BTR Edition Elantra Sport Concept, joining other Hyundai projects that the Korean automaker has already announced. Blood Type Racing has been involved with Hyundai’s SEMA projects for years now and the company’s latest carries on the tradition.
Performance of the Hyundai Elantra Sport is enhanced thanks to a Torcon cold-air intake, Pierce Motorsports exhaust system, custom ECU tuning by BTR, and Devil’s Own water/methanol injection system. As you can tell by the preview render, the Elantra Sport will have a stylish BASF Glasurit Arancio Borealis paint job, further accented by 19-inch SSR GTX01 wheels wrapped with Toyo T1 Sport tires.

Upgraded suspension components include coilovers from HSD and Pierce Motorsports sway bars, strut tower brace, and chassis brace. Braking performance is also enhanced with a Fella big brake kit. Improving aerodynamics and giving the Elantra Sport a more aggressive appearance is an Aerotek custom front, side, and rear track-ready lip kit, as well as an ARP GTC-200 GT wing on the trunk.
On the inside, BTR has re-stitched the OEM-style sport interior, along with adding a SoCalGarageWorks carbon fiber steering wheel and diamond-stitched floor mats.
“The BTR Edition Elantra Sport takes the Elantra beyond its capable OEM-development roots without sacrificing daily drivability,” said Sam Lee, product manager, Blood Type Racing. “Building upon the well-developed Elantra Sport platform, powertrain and design fundamentals, we’ve given enthusiasts a new vision of where this affordable sport compact wants to go.”
