Cadillac XT4 V-Sport Shown in Official Sketch

The era of hot crossovers is approaching and Cadillac doesn’t want to be left out. It makes sense then, that an XT4 wearing V-Sport’s distinctive badge on its butt has been spotted on Cadillac’s press site.

The digital rendering is part of a series of images discussing the design process that behind the XT4. The picture itself features a pencil-drawn sketch, as well as the computer-generated shot from behind that features very wide wheel arches and what look like pretty wide tires, too.

GM Authority reports that Cadillac won’t stuff a V6 into the XT4 V-sport—despite the chassis being capable of housing one—which leaves a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot as the likeliest engine for an XT4 V-sport.

That would mean a likely hp rating in the neighborhood of 300 hp, which would leave it dramatically outpowered by the likes of the RS Q3 (not confirmed for North America), but should still be enough to get you moving in a hurry.

Whatever the case, if it looks as aggressive as the rendering, it should be pretty cool.
