Lotus Engineering has had inquiries from other manufacturers interested in using the Evora platform for their own applications. The use of other companies utilizing a Lotus chassis is not without precedent, as the Tesla roadster and Vauxhall VX220 were both based off the Lotus Elise.

The Evora is a good candidate for a small volume sports car maker, as it can fit a V6 engine in its compact dimensions, and can be configured as a 2-seater or 2+2, with a double wishbone suspension and aluminum construction. The chassis has also gone through the necessary crash test requirements, significantly reducing development costs.
