A whopping 1,000 Ferrari‘s have registered for the September 15 world-record breaking event planned by Ferrari North Europe.

Originally, the event had just 385 Ferrari’s cruising in the 2007 parade, but that number has since been beaten. The current record is 490 Ferrari’s, however when the plan to break that record was originally announced, over 600 cars registered. Now, Ferrari North Europe doesn’t seem content with just 600 vehicles, and has registered 1,000 vehicles to set the new record.

The event will take place at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on September 15. Furthermore, Ferrari is going to donate £5 for every car entered, to the automotive industry’s own charity, BEN.

As an added bonus, the event will also showcase the Ferrari FXX and 599XX development cars, as well as a large range of Ferrari vehicles.

For some action, the weekend will features races including the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, Ferrari Club Challenge, and the Pirelli Ferrari Open.
