Volvo is reinventing its styling, and is bringing a new concept known as the XC Concept Coupe to the 2014 Detroit Auto Show to show off its new direction.

The XC Concept Coupe is the second in a three-concept lineup that is meant to display Volvo’s new design direction, the first of which was the Volvo Concept Coupe that was rolled out at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

What will power the XC Concept Coupe is unknown, but the original Concept Coupe gets its power from a high-performance gasoline engine paired with an electric motor on the rear axle, giving the car a total system output of 400 horsepower and over 440 lb-ft of torque.

The XC Concept Coupe appears to be taller and larger than the original Concept Coupe, and is probably more closely in line to what we are likely to see when the new 2015 Volco XC90 debuts, the first vehicle from the brand to feature the new design cues.
