Land Rover will be showing off its future at this year’s New York Auto Show.

The British automaker has confirmed that the Discovery Vision concept will be debuting in New York and “will showcase the essence of a future family of SUVs built on Land Rover’s key principles of emotive design, unrivaled capacity and ultimate versatility.”

Little has been revealed about the next-generation Discovery, which is known as the LR2 in the U.S. What the video teaser does reveal however is that Land Rover will be straying away from the previous Discovery’s boxy design, as is evident in spy photos we’ve also received. The new Discovery also appears to have three-row seating with a sliding second row that can be partially folded away.

The 2014 New York Auto Show will kick off on April 16 and tune in to AutoGuide as we’ll be reporting live from the event.
