Dodge is reclaiming the Viper nameplate and may be bringing back another name known in the world of high-performance sports cars: ACR.

This ACR concept seen here at the SEMA Show floor is the brands latest track weapon, and sports a number of modifications that would make it a beast at the local circuit. For starters, its practically stripped to the bare essentials. There’s no carpet, radio or sound deadening material found inside the car, ensuring a low curb weight.

The Viper ACR Concept also sports a ton of carbon fiber as seen on the front splitter and rear wing. There’s satin black 19-inch wheels that help complete the look. On the hood you’ll find is also carbon fiber “dive planes,” front-fender heat extractors and differential cooling ducts placed just behind the car’s side windows.

Under the hood is the same 8.4-liter V10 engine that’s been seen before, making 645 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. Check out the video below for all the details and a closer look at this new snake.
