Lamborghini Huracan Sales Soar

After 10 months on the market, Lamborghini can lay claim to selling 3,000 copies of its mid-engined, V10-poewred Huracan supercar worldwide.

Customers in the U.S. account for 33 percent of the total, which puts the company on pace to set a new record with 3,600 units by the end of the year. Lamborghini built the Gallardo from 2003 to 2013 and it sold 14,022 copies in that time, making it the most successful nameplate in company history.

But Volkswagen Group’s Italian supercar company isn’t content to cross its fingers and hope wealthy people just say “yes” to the Huracan.

“In the Americas we worked together with our dealer partners to outline their launch outreach strategy from a new perspective,” Lamborghini COO Alessandro Farmeschi said. “How to make their events and communications bold yet welcoming. As a result, we are watching a success story unfold. As the Huracán arrives in-market, consumers are anxiously waiting to experience this vehicle, which is a direct result of these targeted events.”

Lamborghini unveiled the race-prepped version of its Huracan last August in during the Monterey Car Week ahead of its debut in the upcoming Blancpain Super Trofeo gentleman race series Lamborghini started this year. Currently, the racers run in modified Gallardos.

    It is a fantastic automobile though base on what I have read mostly the specs. So I can see why a lot of people would by it.
