Jaguar F-Type SVR Spotted Testing

Jaguar is preparing an even hotter version of the F-Type and we have new spy photos of the car.

Spotted on the roads surrounding the Nürburgring, this F-Type roadster mule is packing revised front and rear fascias, larger air inlets, a larger rear spoiler and carbon ceramic brakes. A 5.0-liter V8 is still expected to provide power, but in this car it will be turned up to make between 580 and 600 hp.

The official name of the new range-topping Jaguar is still unknown to us. In the past, Jaguar’s fastest models received the RS badge, but multiple reports claim that Jaguar is discontinuing RS badges in favor of SVR.

In a recent interview, Andy Goss, Group Sales Operations Director for Jaguar Land Rover told us, “we’ve taken the F-Type so far but we’ll take it a lot further. We’ll dial in more performance without a shadow of a doubt.”

“There are other things we’ll undoubtedly do,” said Goss. “The F-Type will be a range of products not a product.”
