Maserati’s new crossover is reportedly making its debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.

According to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, the new Maserati Levante debut is set for the Motor City in early January, 2016. The Kubang Concept (pictured above) was rolled out in 2011 to preview the style of the new crossover, which will ride on the same platform as the Quattroporte and Ghibli.

Two powertrain choices are expected to be offered in North America, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 410 hp and a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 that makes 530 hp. A diesel will be offered in European markets while a plug-in hybrid model is said to be joining the lineup sometime after launch. Each engine will be mated to all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

After seeing the crossover in January of next year, production is expected to begin in March. Maserati is pushing for growth with the new crossover, with sales targets set at 37,000 units a year by 2018, representing almost half of the automaker’s annual sales.
