New photos have exposed the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster, caught testing outside the brand’s Italian headquarters.

The most prominent changes compared to the standard Aventador SV are the removable carbon fiber roof and the lack of a rear wing, though it is unknown if the wing will return for the production model.

Mechanically, the Roadster won’t stray from the Aventador SV formula, meaning it will also use a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 750 hp mated to a seven-speed transmission. A gain of 110 lbs. is expected for the Roadster compared to the Coupe, though performance isn’t expected to change.

Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster production will likely be capped at 600, the same number of coupes the brand is building.

A debut in Frankfurt this September was expected for the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster, but it may be earlier than that based on how production ready this car appears to be.
