Lexus has unveiled a significantly refreshed LX570 SUV at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

According to the luxury automaker, the only thing carried over from the 2015 model are the door panels, so the eight-seater SUV gets a restyled front end with an even bolder version of the brand’s signature spindle grille. Outlined with an elegant satin chrome trim, the front end also receives new standard LED headlights, turn signals and fog lights. Along with new tail lights and a new rear bumper, the 2016 Lexus LX570 gets new 20-inch split 10-spoke wheels, while 21-inch versions are available as an option.

Beyond the exterior changes, Lexus also replaced the old six-speed transmission with a new eight-speed unit while adding the same Drive Mode Select function found in other Lexus models. Under the hood of the refreshed LX570 is a 5.7-liter V8 engine providing 383 hp and 403 lb-ft of torque, giving the SUV a 7,000-pound towing capacity.

New standard features for the 2016 model year include a panoramic view camera, a larger 12.3-inch navigation screen, new multimedia with Remote Touch Interface and the Lexus Safety System+. The standard safety package includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Intelligent High Beam and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

For the cabin, Lexus has added a new three-spoke wood-trimmed steering wheel, manual second-row sunshades and LED ambient lighting in the cabin and cargo area. Available options for the SUV include a wireless charging tray for Qi-compatible phones, larger 11.6-inch screens for Rear Seat Entertainment System, Lexus Enform Remote, Lexus Enform Service Connect and ventilated/heated rear seats as part of the Luxury Package.

Expect pricing information for the 2016 Lexus LX570 to be announced closer to its sale date.
