New Lexus LS Hybrid Will Debut Soon
The redesigned Lexus LS debuted looking snazzy earlier this year, and now the Japanese automaker will follow up with a new hybrid model.
The 2018 Lexus LS 500h will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Lexus LS hybrid won’t look too different from the full gas-powered one, but will likely have a slightly different front end that focuses on better aerodynamics. The current LS 600h (which is not available in North America for the 2017 model year) has 445 horsepower and a fuel economy rating of 26.7 mpg (8.8 L/100 km), so this new model should be both more powerful and fuel efficient.
Interestingly, the fuel economy for the regular Lexus LS has not been revealed yet, but the hybrid should be able to improve on whatever the gas sedan is rated at, especially in the city. Of course, expect it to have all the latest safety and driver assistance technology as well as coaches that help people drive more efficiently.
