First Production 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Heading to Auction

If you want to own the first production Ford Mustang Bullitt, you better act quickly.

Ford and the Steve McQueen estate are auctioning the first new Ford Mustang Bullitt with VIN 001 to benefit Chino Hills, California-based Boys Republic, a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian school and treatment community for troubled teens. McQueen himself graduated from Boys Republic in 1946 before becoming a successful actor and starring in Bullitt. The special car will cross the auction block at 2:30 PM Pacific / 5:30 PM Eastern at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale.

Ford says that 100 percent of the 2019 Mustang Bullitt auction proceeds will be provided to Boys Republic.

Making its debut at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show earlier this week, the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt features a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 475 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, along with a top speed of 163 mph.
