Aside from making a splash by bringing its hottest new number – the F12 Berlinetta – to Pebble Beach for its North American debut, the company also rocked the auction block by selling a 1960 Ferrari California for $11 million.

Sold to an anonymous car collector, the 1960 California 250 LWB Spider Competizione was a part of the company’s most successful early line. This particular instance was only built nine times for competition and comes from the Sherman M. Wolf collection. Purchased from its original owner in 1979, the car could only claim two owners until this weekend.
