The Jaguar F-Type is one of the more highly anticipated debuts heading to the 2012 Paris Motor Show. That said, it’s not surpriseing that it leaked before its debut in France.

As great as the Jaguar F-Type looks in photos, the British automaker is more excited to show off its performance, responsiveness, and power. In a video teaser, Jaguar engineer Ian Hoban provides the voiceover as Jaguar gives us some insight as to how the new convertible was designed and developed.

Unfortunately for us, that means we don’t get to hear so much of the F-Type’s powerplant. The base model will come equipped with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380-hp, but the F-Type R will boast a 5.0-liter V8 with 550-hp and 500 lb-ft of torque.

AutoGuide will be sure to capture this beauty in our own video when it’s unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
