As east coasters continue to reel in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, Volvo is taking the chance to offer special pricing for people who lost cars in the storm.

Anyone who lived in the FEMA-designated disaster or emergency area and can provide the necessary documentation is eligible for the offer. Volvo will give qualifying customers employee pricing and take an additional $1,000 off that price.

In announcing the program, Volvo joins Toyota and Ford and others in providing post-storm relief. Last week, Toyota announced that it would donate $1 million. At the same time, Ford announced that it would offer a $500 discount and allow victims to defer payment for up to two months.
