Give Road test editor Richard Cazeau a bright red Ford Mustang GT convertible and this is what happens. Nearly six minutes of rumbling V8 goodness. With 420-hp on tap there was plenty for Cazeau to smile about, and he did a great job of keeping the camera crew on their toes. Take a look above, because we absolutely loved this Mustang, and can’t wait to get another one in our hands.

The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe really stepped up its game, and this video really shows it. In fact, the extra power of the Hyundai Genesis really surprised Colum Wood our Editor-in-Chief. With 348-hp and sharper handling, the Korean coupe really pops on camera. Watch as Wood hoons the Genesis, and makes it dance on the track.

See Also: Hyundai Santa Fe Review

Richard Cazeau took the new third generation Hyundai Santa Fe for a serious test of it’s capabilities, up at Park City, Utah. Our video review shows just how much sharper the Santa Fe has become, especially with its ‘Fluidic Precision’ design language. The bigger Santa Fe still feels solid even though it has lost some weight. Also take a look at that great looking interior. The new Santa Fe really stepped up its game, and remains a solid choice in the crossover market segment.

“I’m certain that I can take the new ZL1 to a time attack and still be competitive” said our resident race car driver David Pratte. So of course we had to let him give it a shot. Pitting the stock Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 against time-attack tuned sports cars was no easy feat, but our slick hot-shoe of a driver still managed to get a second overall finish, despite the ZL1’s incredible 4,000 lb weight. Pratte really proved that Chevy has a track-ready car ready from the showroom floor.

Taking your own brand new sports-car to the track is never an easy experience, explains Features Editor Sami Haj-Assaad. Still, Haj-Assaad manages to break his discipline and throw his FR-S into the corners at the local track. You can’t help but smile with Sami as he feels out the Scion, and his Ultramarine Blue car shimmers in the summer sun.

What better way to show off a new BMW-beating sports-sedan than at the track? Cadillac brings the new ATS to Atlanta Motorsport park to show just how awesome the new car is. Wood holds nothing back and the ATS still remains a solid companion on the track. Equipped with either the 2.0T engine, which puts out 274-hp, or the 3.6L V6 which makes 321 hp, the ATS is made for the track and the street, meaning it’s as good of a sports-sedan as we’ve seen in years.

Getting out videos at SEMA isn’t as easy as it looks. There’s always distractions, crowd control and who knows what. Our Show Highlights, Outtakes and Booth Babes video explains exactly how much work goes on behind each video. Plus seeing News Editor Luke Vandezande uncharacteristically lose his cool shows just how frustrating these shows can get.

Hello again, Scion FR-S. In our second ever look at the new sports car from Toyota we hit the track hard in sunny Las Vegas. Toyota even brought out a few examples of what makes the FR-S so great. Video-bombing Colum Wood’s last stand-up are collector quality looking AE86, 2000 GT and a Toyota Sports 800. Of course the rest of the video is pure FR-S porn too, with the car tearing up the street and track alike.

The prize-fight of the year came out with a draw on the cards. While the Hyundai Genesis Coupe came out with the faster lap-time, both Colum Wood and David Pratte agreed that it was the FR-S that was more enjoyable to drive. With a difference of 74-hp and almost 100 lb-ft of torque between the two cars, it was interesting that the lower powered Scion came away with the nod. Check out the video to see just how close this comparison is.

Our top video of 2012 is the review of the new 991-spec Porsche 911 Carrera S. It was also great that we had a last-gen 911 on hand to compare the two cars, and see the main differences between the two. This review has it all, track time, street time, and Porsches. What’s not to like?
