Volvo S60 Refresh Spied With Updated Front Fascia

Swedish luxury brand Volvo is testing what will shape up to be a refreshed version of its S60 sedan.

As is usually the case with test mules, the area with the most clothing on is also the spot with the most to hide. Here, that’s the front end — as these photos show. When the obnoxious padding comes off, the car’s face is expected to take cues from the V40.

That likely means a chunkier front fascia with sharper angles. Technical specifications are expected to remain the same with a turbocharged five-cylinder engine making 250 hp and 266 lb-ft or torque.

Long lauded for being a pioneer in vehicle safety technology, Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby admitted last year that the company’s cars are too complicated. While the brand hasn’t suggested that it plans to simplify its systems for this application, it wouldn’t hurt.
