Cadillac is recalling over 27,000 Cadillac SRX SUVs to have their lug nuts tightened.

The recall affects 2013 model year SRXs equipped with the factory 18-inch wheels. According to the American automaker, the wheel nuts may not have been tightened enough to meet safe specifications. No crashes or injuries have been reported as a result of this issue.

Dealerships will tighten the nuts and rotate the tires free of charge. 19,000 affected SRXs are in the U.S. while 913 are in Canada. The rest were exported out of North America.

-i call "bs" on tightening loose lug nuts for two reasons: 1) it's a GM 2) if that FREE TIRE ROTATION is "mandatory" (or removing any wheel under the guise of proper mounting just to be safe) then it's a cover story for inspecting something else more serious.
