Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour Kicks Off

The Lamborghini 50th Anniversary Grand Tour is kicking off at the Piazza Castello in Milan with 350 cars adding up to over 190,000 hp on the road.

A total of over 700 people from 29 different countries spanning from Canada to New Zealand are participating in the festivities with vehicles being unloaded from overseas just for the occasion. United Kingdom is representing well at the event with 71 vehicles while Italy, Germany, and Switzerland have over 30 a piece. Amazingly, there are 21 vehicles from America and 17 from China.

As for the participants, the youngest driver is from Kuwait and was born in 1991 while the oldest is a French national at 75 years. Historic Lamborghini models joining the tour include three 350 GTs, five 400 GTs, 17 Miuras, eight Espadas, two Jaramas, six Urracos, 15 Countaches, one LM 002, 21 Diablos, and 36 Murcielagos. There are 123 Gallardos registered for the event, making up the majority of attendance.

The Grand Tour will be heading to Bobbio first before it continues the trek to Bologna. It will then head to Sant’Agata Bolognese, headquarters of Lamborghini, where it will conclude with a celebratory dinner.
