Photos of the new BMW 4 Series have just hit the web, revealing the German brand’s newest addition to its lineup hours before it is set to be officially unveiled.

The 4 Series is the replacement for the 3 Series coupe, though it gets its own style that is separate from the slightly smaller 3 Series. First revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show as a concept, the production 4 Series seen here is only slightly different from the concept. The production car gets a revised front end and a lower profile compared to the 3 Series, giving the car a sportier look overall.

According to leaked info, a 428i and 435i are expected, which means the car will use both a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder. As for power, it will likely stay the same as in the 3-Series offerings, with 240 hp in the 428i and 300 hp in the 435i. An M4 version is expected as well, though the engine it will use is still unknown.

As for dimensions, the 4 Series is said to be 26mm longer than the 3 Series and 43mm wider. The roofline is 16mm lower on the 4 Series, which rides on a wheelbase that is 40 mm longer than that of the 3 Series.

Keep an eye out as later today full details will be divulged on BMW’s new 4 Series.
