Chrysler will keep the current generation Jeep Wrangler in production until mid-2018 while extending production of the Dodge Avenger until 2015 and the Grand Caravan until late 2017.

The news comes through an anonymous supplier source connected to the Detroit News. Chrysler had previously planned to replace the Avenger in January while the Wrangler was due for similar treatment in 2016.

Past reports suggested Chrysler had planned to kill one of its two minivans, and the report from The News suggests that the Grand Caravan won’t make it to another generation. Brand boss Sergio Marchionne has said in the past that Chrysler doesn’t need two minivans.
