2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S Revealed With 570 HP

Porsche has just added a new trim level to the ranks of the Panamera, the Turbo S, declaring it the fastest Panamera available.

Powering the car is the same twin-turbo 4.8-liter engine that can be found in other Panameras, but in the Turbo S it is massaged to produce an extra 50 hp for a total 570 ponies. The power boost comes courtesy of two new turbochargers with larger compressors that squeeze 553 lb-ft of torque out of the engine, though an overboost feature helps push the motor to 590 lb-ft of torque for a short time.

The engine’s power is routed through a PDK seven-speed transmission and helps to propel the car from stand still to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, aided by the car’s optional launch control feature. Porsche decks out this Panamera with all sorts of sporty-enhancements such as active roll stabilization, ceramic brakes, adaptive damper control and adjustable airbag suspension.

Exclusive enhancements for the Turbo S model include 20-inch wheels sourced from the 911 Turbo II, a four-way rear spoiler and the Palladium Metallic exterior color (seen above).

This car is also available in long-wheelbase form for those who would rather just ride in the back than drive. That model comes with features like thermal and noise-insulated windows with privacy glazing, an interior lighting package designed especially for the rear and a larger rear center console.

The Panamera Turbo S is priced from $181,295 including destination.
