Chrysler has redesigned its 200 sedan for the 2015 model year. The convertible version, however, will receive no such update.

When the 2015 Chrysler 200 arrives in the second quarter of this year, the American automaker won’t be offering a convertible variant in the lineup. Last year, less than five percent of the 122,480 Chrysler 200 vehicles sold were convertibles. According to Chrysler the additional cost to engineer a convertible variant would have been substantial and the model’s poor sales doesn’t warrant it.

Along the same lines, Chrysler will be cutting back on sister vehicles in hopes of reducing overlap among products in its lineup. That means don’t expect to see a 2015 Dodge Avenger to complement the 200.
