Volvo is relaunching a line of special edition vehicles to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Volvo Ocean Race.

This is the fifth time in history that Volvo has carried Ocean Race inspired vehicles, and this time the lineup consists of the V40, V40 Cross Country, V60, V70, and XC60.

The cars are said to be inspired by the sea, and are available in four unique colors: Ocean Blue II, Bright Silver, Black Sapphire, or Crystal White. Unique 17- or 18-inch wheels are included, along with Volvo Ocean Race logos on the front fenders and door sills.

On the inside, black or blond leather seats are available complete with orange contrast stitching and Ocean Race embroidered logos. Door panels and floor mats will also include special Ocean Race plastic tabs, while the cargo cover features the Volvo Ocean Race logo and map.

Alongside the Ocean Race editions, Volvo will unveil two more oddly named special edition vehicles, the V70 & XC70 Edition. Both of the ‘Edition’ vehicles feature high-gloss black details along with unique wheels. On the inside, black leather with contrasting cream stitching is found along with a set of sport pedals.

The Volvo Ocean Race itself includes 11 cities in 11 countries, and the teams cover 38,739 nautical miles over the course of the race.
