The cars this week all have one thing in common: excess. Excess power, excess cylinders, excess luxury and excess value. Check out what we’re driving this week on AutoGuide Now.

2014 Audi R8 V10 Plus: Mike Schlee Road Test Editor – “This week I will be in the 2014 Audi R8 V10 Plus that will take on the Porsche 911 Turbo in a comparison test of all year capable super cars. Currently holding the fastest lap record around the AutoGuide test track, the R8 V10 Plus uses a high-revving 5.2-liter V10 that makes an awesome 550 hp. With supercar styling and all-wheel drive, the R8 remains a serious sports car that can be used day in and day out.” Mike isn’t one to keep supercar experiences to himself, follow him on Twitter to see what he has to say about the range-topping Audi R8.
2014 Porsche 911 Turbo: Colum Wood Editor-in-Chief – “I’m being spoiled this week, piloting one of the finest and most iconic sports cars of all time, the Porsche 911 Turbo. Better yet, I’ll be at the track where we’ll aim to find out if the 911 makes for a better all-season sports car than the Audi R8. AutoGuide stig David Pratte will be helping us out, so watch for lots of pics.” Sounds like that R8 will have some company. Watch Colum’s Twitter feed, and be sure to send any tweets his way about this iconic sports car.
2015 Hyundai Genesis: Luke Vandezande, Managing Editor – “My first impression of the Genesis after seeing it in Detroit last January was especially positive. From the limited time I spent with it on the show floor, it looks like a huge improvement over what was already a successful product for the company. But you can only glean so much by sitting in something. This week, I travel to Arizona to spend time driving the car. Follow me on Twitter to see updates on my thoughts and feel free to send your questions my way.
2015 Cadillac Escalade: Craig Cole, Associate Editor – “Like William Tecumseh Sherman I’m heading to Savannah, Georgia. Unlike this Union Civil War general I’m not marching to the sea, nor am I scorching the earth as I go. Instead, I’ll be piloting the all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade. This full-size luxury SUV promises elegant exterior styling, a highly crafted interior and more technology than ever. Sounds like a “win” to me.” Cadillac and Craig go together like cookies and milk. Be sure to follow along on Twitter, to see what Craig thinks of this classy Caddy.
