Mini Cooper Five Door Caught in Spy Photos

Mini is looking to expand its lineup with a new five-door version of the Mini Cooper, and our spy photographers grabbed some shots of the car testing.

The camouflage only covers the rear-end, as the styling on the front is identical to what can be seen on the new Mini Cooper. Also interesting is the Mini Clubman that is parked next to the five-door model, which appears to be much wider. That means it is riding on a revised version of the car’s UKL platform.

As for powertrains, expect the same as found in the Mini Cooper, a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine for the base model, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder for the upgraded S model.
