Buick is expanding its crossover and SUV lineup later this year with a new model.

The American automaker has announced that the Buick Envision will debut later this year in China and will be the newest member of the Buick SUV family featuring dynamic and assertive styling. Originally debuting as a concept in 2011 at the Shanghai Motor Show, Buick will return to China for the production model’s debut.

The company teased the above image of the Envision along with the compact Encore and the larger Enclave. As depicted in the photo, the Envision will be slotted between the two models as a midsized crossover and the company boasts that “the model is destined to set a new benchmark in China’s high-end midsize SUV segment for space, safety, performance and specifications.”

It is unknown if the Envision name will carry over to the North American market, but it is likely considering it was also the nameplate for the concept.
