Cadillac reveals the Elmiraj Concept Thursday, August 15, 2013 in Carmel, California. The Elmiraj four-seat rear-wheel drive grand coupe provides a look inside the Cadillac Studio on how it envisions performance and luxury for the next generation of luxury drivers. The concept is lightweight, agile and 205-inches in length. It is powered by a 4.5-liter…

Despite having a bevy of highly regarded products, Cadillac sales are currently slumping, a trend the brand intends to combat with new vehicles that are coming in 2015.

The best-selling SRX crossover will get a full make over next year and an all-new rear-wheel drive flagship, likely called the LTS, will be revealed. Both are important vehicles for the brand, which Cadillac Chief Engineer Dave Leone is counting on to boost sales. “This is going to be a fantastic year for Cadillac,” Leone told reporters at Pebble Beach.

Next year’s Pebble Beach celebration will include the debut of the new Cadillac flagship, following in the footsteps of the Elmiraj concept which was also revealed at Pebble. This car is meant to compete with top german luxury cars like the Mercedes S-Class.

The new SRX is also important for the brand due to its strong sales. Since the model’s last redesign in 2009, sales have climbed by 16 percent.

would never consider purchasing a reader wheel drive car so they list me as a potential customer from the get go. Also, had a 2010 top of the line CTS and the engine always felt stained near redline. My 2012 Mercedes C350 coupe's engine is much smoother and the car is much quicker for roughly the same list price.

I agree with Patrick D (below) that Cadillac is taking away the "luxury" feel, perhaps to keep prices down? My 2008 DTS doesn't have locking gas cap as the Deville once did. 10 or 12 way power seats are now 8 way - which isn't as comfortable. The "hi-end" radios used to have reverb and a lot more sound choices than they do now. Other trim / lighting is too basic and most of the high end extra touches are just - gone! The once touted Northstar engine, a thing of the past. Next time I'll consider a Hyundai Santa Fe and pocket the extra $.
