Jaguar will reveal its new compact luxury sedan next week during an event in London, but the company is already letting its IV drip loose.

The XE is Jaguar’s first to be based on its new scalable, lightweight aluminum platform and will also use the company’s new “Ingenium” engine line including a turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant. The teaser clip doesn’t reveal any new information, but you hear the roar of a Jaguar V8 in background and see some of the company’s other products as well.

Not only will it be offered with the smaller boosted four that Jaguar says will offer a 75 MPG rating on the European test cycle, but it is also expected to come with much more potent powertrains that will allow it to compete with products like the BMW M3.
