The Kia Rio is headed for a mid-cycle refresh that will be on display for the first time next month during the Paris Motor Show alongside a re-designed Sorento crossover.

Kia’s current sub-compact (pictured) model won’t go through any drastic changes, but the company will graft on a new front fascia while offering different wheels and new paint colors to choose from. The cabin will also now include the company’s seven-inch display screen in the dashboard.

The Rio isn’t a top seller in the North American sub-compact segment, although it still outsells some of its competitors including the MAzda2 and Toyota Yaris. Sales of the small South Korean car are dwindling this year, down 11 percent year-to-date in a segment where leading products like the Nissan Versa and Chevrolet Sonic are enjoying big volume gains thanks in large part to being fresh compared to the Rio.
