Land Rover showcased the Discovery Sport earlier this month during the Paris Motor Show alongside Jaguar’s new sedan: the XE. In North America, the Discovery Sport will serve as an indirect replacement in the Land Rover line to the LR2. It offers a 5+2 seating configuration and is powered by a new 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine in this market that is part of the company’s new Ingenium engine family. Output from the powerplant will total 240 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque sent through a nine-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel drive system.

Pricing for the new model will start at $38,920 including destination charges.
