Celebrity endorsements are nothing new in the world of automobiles and Kia has just announced a new one.

LeBron James, the ten-time NBA all-star who recently signed back on with the Cleveland Cavaliers, has been names as the Kia K900 Luxury Ambassador. His role will include appearances in TV commercials and live guest appearances.

“I was a Kia K900 driver and fan before we decided to become partners, so I’m really excited to be Kia’s first-ever luxury ambassador,” said LeBron James. The K900 is Kia’s luxury car entrant meant to compete with cars like the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Kia, the official automotive partner of the NBA, also employs fellow NBA all-star Blake Griffin as a brand ambassador.

This is a joke. Good for LeBron taking money from stupid people at Kia.

LeBron does not seem to be the type to own the K900 but I do see him in a Bentley, Benz, Range Rover, Escalade, Roll Royce, Jeep, Chrysler 300 SRT and some huge body-on-frame SUV. Then again, you never know. Seeing is believing as deceiving at the same time.
