Is Buick getting ready to bring back the Grand National?

Though the American automaker hasn’t officially announced any sort of plans, rumors have been churning for quite some time now for a revival on the Grand National and a more powerful GNX variant. Perhaps one of the most telling pieces of evidence yet is a dealership in North Carolina that is claiming it’ll be one of the first with the new Grand National and even has a wait list opened for the not-yet-confirmed model.

Liberty Buick GMC in South Charlotte, North Carolina has said it plans to have the first production units of the Grand National and GNX on its lots when it arrives sometime next year and claims that both models will be based on the American automaker’s Alpha rear-wheel drive platform.

Buick’s official stance on the dealership’s claims is that there has been some sort of miscommunication, but that could simply be damage control from prematurely announcing the car.
