A new way to go off road is coming from Ram in the form of the 1500 Rebel.

Performance is upgraded to prime the new Rebel for heading off road. The list of enhancements includes a one-inch lift, Bilstein front and rear shocks, a softer rear stabilizer, 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch Toyo Open Country A/T tires and a modified alignment of the front suspension to give the adjust tire angle. The Ram’s air suspension system is also present and when fully lifted, the truck has 10.3-inches of ground clearance.

The Rebel can only be had as a crew cab though both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 will be available. For the real posers, the V8 engine can be had in just two-wheel drive form.

To make sure it looks the part, the Rebel gets a massive ‘RAM’ badge in the middle of the grille rather than the classic crosshair grille and a blacked out front bumper. Increasing performance and style, the Rebel gets a billet silver skid plate, new front tow hooks, LED fog lamps and a twin-snorkel sport hood.

A two-tone paint scheme always features black on the lower body while new flared wheel arches borrowed from the Power Wagon are fitted to the rear.

Moving inside, the Rebel gets heated vinyl seating with red and black fabric inserts embossed with the tread pattern of the Toyo tires. Red and gray accents are found throughout while the center stack is finished in Iron Gray. A massive Rebel badge is fitted to the upper glove box.

The Rebel goes on sale early in the second half of 2015.
