The first production 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is already spoken for.

Sold at the Arizona Barrett-Jackson auction, the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V will have all its proceeds benefit the Detroit College for Creative Studies. The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V made its official debut recently at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show sporting a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine with 640 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powerplant is essentially borrowed from the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and helps the luxury sedan propel to 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.7 seconds.

Along with its more aggressive design compared to the standard CTS, the CTS-V also benefits from numerous suspension upgrades and compared standard with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. On the inside, the CTS-V gets optional Recaro seats and GM’s Performance Data Recorder as well as a unique version of the American automaker’s 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster display.

The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V will officially go on sale later this summer.
