Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Longs for Attention

Mercedes-Benz just revealed the next member of the newly returned Maybach product line.

Confirmed to bow at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in early March, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman will be a range-topping, limousine-style model with backwards-facing seats in the passenger compartment and will be filled with high-end automotive luxury equipment. Measuring in at 21.3 feet long, the Maybach Pullman provides plenty of space for its passengers, with VIP occupants sitting on two standard executive seats facing the direction of travel. As is typical with a Pullman model, the four passengers can sit facing each other in the compartment with an electrically-operated partition window.

Compared to the standard Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Pullman is 3.5 feet longer and over 3.9 inches higher, giving plenty more headroom in the cabin. Sitting at the top of the Pullman range will be the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman S 600 sporting a 6.0-liter biturbo V12 engine with 523 hp and 612 lb-ft of torque.

The debut of the new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the best-known Pullman, the Mercedes 600.

Estimated pricing for the Pullman will be around $567,000 for an unarmored version of the car and deliveries will begin 2016. Check back with AutoGuide.com for more details and photos of the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman when it officially debuts in Geneva.

    Gotta say, some great looking auto. BUT, I have in my hands THE AUTOMOBILE OF THE FUTURE and I have no idea what to do with it. I am an inventor by trade and this project has gone on for 25 years. It is not identifiable as an automobile at first sight. At 2900 pounds it will stop in 47 feet with no brakes as we know them. No shoes, rotors, drums, pads, discs. It has no computers, and no airbags. I spent five full years on nothing but passenger safety. Then built the car around that. It has no paint. Has no doors, but a canopy. Is the safest automobile ever. The floor will withstand 1800 psi as opposed to a stamped metal floor at about 165 psi. It is simple and easy to build. If you walk into an auto parts store, look around, 90% of all parts are obsolete. Not because there are a lot of new parts but because of the ultimate simplicity. It has no springs, no shocks, no driveshafts although it is full time four wheel drive. WHOEVER WINDS UP WITH THIS TECHNOLOGY WILL COMPLETELY CONTROL THE WORLD WIDE AUTO MARKET FOR DECADES. Im posting this in hopes someone will 'get it' and understand how important this development is and that so many lives, and injuries can be saved/avoided.
