Kia has confirmed when its all-new Optima will debut.

The Korean automaker has announced that the 2016 Kia Optima will bow at the 2015 New York Auto Show, five years following the 2010 debut of the current Optima sedan. The Optima has been the brand’s best-selling vehicle in the U.S. for the last three years and if these sketches are any proof, the new Optima will continue that tradition for years to come.

Earlier this month, Kia presented the Sportspace concept at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which previewed the styling that will likely be seen on the 2016 Optima. Although the sketches do represent a much more aggressive front end, it’s easy to see the similarities with the Sportspace concept.

Expect more details on the 2016 Kia Optima to surface leading up to its official debut April 1.

This looks amazing! I was planning on a Subaru WRX in 2016, but may wait to see what this looks like when it launches.
