Land Rover is hitting the race track to test out its new droptop Evoque.

The brand recently confirmed that the Evoque Convertible would see production and will be on sale in the U.S. come 2016. From the photos we can see that styling for the new model stays true to the current Evoque, save for the roof which carries a slightly different line.

Our spy photographers caught two prototypes testing, one on the famous German race track and the other in Sweden, doing winter testing.

The 2.0-liter 240-hp turbocharged gasoline engine found in the normal Evoque is also expected to show up in the convertible mode while a diesel version is expected to be offered sometime in the future.
