Jaguar’s new crossover will be fully revealed this coming September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The F-Pace is billed as “the ultimate practical sports car” by the company. It is based on the same aluminum architecture that underpins the new XE and is likely to use the same powerplants as that car.

That means we can expect a turbocharged four cylinder and a supercharged V6 under the hood, likely along with at least one diesel engine.

Spy photos suggest that styling for the crossover will stick pretty close to the Jaguar CX-17 Crossover Concept.

The F-Pace will go on sale in 2016.
