Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has expanded the features of its Uconnect system.

For the 2016 model year, Uconnect systems with the 8.4-inch touchscreen now feature a Drag and Drop menu bar, Siri Eyes Free, Do Not Disturb, SiriusXM Tune Start and a Vehicle User Guide. In addition to these new features, the automaker has enhanced Uconnect’s graphics, incorporating individual FCA brand themes and characteristics that visually aid drivers when navigating through the system.

The Drag and Drop menu bar allows users to personalize the touchscreen in an easy fashion that fits their needs. They can simply select and drag their favorite feature, ranging from heated or cooled seats to a Yelp search, from the apps menu to the Uconnect’s main menu bar.

The Siri Eyes Free feature allows drivers with iPhones to use the voice button on the steering wheel to connect with Siri, allowing you to send text messages, play music, set reminders and more without taking your eyes off the road.

Then there’s the Do Not Disturb mode, allowing vehicle owners avoid interruptions from phone calls or text messages while driving. The Do Not Disturb mode will route all incoming phone calls straight to voicemail and suppress text messages, with the added ability to automatically send a default or customized message.

Lastly, the SiriusXM Tune Start that lets customers start songs from the beginning when switching between their favorite pre-set satellite radio channels.

The new features are available in the following 2016 model year vehicles equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen: Chrysler 200 and 300, Dodge Challenger, Charger, Durango and Viper, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and finally the Ram 1500, Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab.
